Peer Review Process
LAW & PASS: International Journal of Law, Public Administration and Social Studies applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.
Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure:
- Alignment with the journal’s scope
- Compliance with submission guidelines
- Basic methodological soundness
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected without external review.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
- Originality and novelty of the research
- Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
- Theoretical and methodological rigor
- Clarity and coherence of presentation
- Contribution to the field
Review Outcomes
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may be:
- Accept without revision
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
Revision Process
Authors are required to respond to reviewer comments and revise their manuscripts accordingly within the specified timeframe.
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ comments and revisions submitted by the authors.
Review Timeline
The average time for initial decision is 2–4 weeks.
Ethical Safeguards
Any suspected ethical issues during review will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
